Mission & Vision

Our Mission & Vision

Dream Africa Volunteer Service (DAVS) began operating in Ghana in 2008 and became fully operational in 2014 through restructuring of its governance system. DAVS Ghana uses a rights-based approach (that is working within the human rights framework) to help build people’s power to hold duty bearers to account, protect the rights of the poor and vulnerable with the hope of eradicating poverty.

DAVS creates opportunities for deserving, economically challenged women and children by partnering with communities, philanthropists, local charitable and international organizations. Such opportunities include developing and providing quality education, affordable healthcare and supporting skills development to improve the quality of life.

Dream Africa believes that the world is interconnected and it is our social responsibility to help one another, particularly those who are at the bottom of the ladder. This requires innovation, creativity and an open space for people to learn and share.

Vision

We envision a world of sustainable development in which all women and children determine the course of their lives and reach their full potential.

Mission

Bring about change for good on behalf of the youth, women and children, and encourage them to participate in processes which enhance their equality, self-reliance and long term sustainable development.
