SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Women and Children are at the centre of everything we do, which is why we have robust policy procedures and practices in place to protect all women and children who come into direct, or indirect, contact with the organisation, from any form of abuse, neglect or exploitation.

Dream Africa Volunteer Service is committed to preventing abuse and promoting the safety, protection, well-being and development of all our beneficiaries especially women and children and young people involved in the programmes it supports.

Effective safeguarding is fundamental to Dream Africa’s activities. As an ethical organization, we seek to ensure that we do not harm anyone who works for, or who comes into contact with the organization.

The organization expects its staff, board members, consultants, interns, volunteers, external partners and visitors whom it may bring into contact with beneficiaries as well as our grantee partners to have a strong commitment to safeguarding practices and observe the obligations placed upon them by our safeguarding policy.

As part of our Safeguarding Policy we have set up a Reporting Abuse mechanism to assist us identify safeguarding abuses related to the organization’s activities.
